I like the weather in knoxville better than the gulf in the summer, may become a snow bird in a few years

And back in the 50's you could buy all the beach front you wanted for less than a couple hundred dollars a beach front foot because you couldn't farm it,

Dan, all I can say is you lucky dawg. We live in N.C., the wife is from Tenn., we have made a trip to GS and really liked it. Good luck.

I retired in 1994 with major health challenges. We rented a house on west beach for the month of October to see if we wanted to live there. Loved it but the wife said she could not grow a yard and flowers in the sand. So we sold our Atlanta house and built a home on Lay Lake on the Coosa River. Now we spend a month on the beach every fall and usually a couple of weeks in the spring. Best of two water environments and no maintenance worries with a house at the beach. Thanks to many surgeries I am better now than in 1994 and fish often.
I found a service center that gets my parts for me. Thanks for the update.
You would think I would know this!
