LOL!
I remember someone asking me that very question on the old pier several decades ago.
And there were some awesome fishermen (and women) who taught me and a lot of other folks plenty about fishing and probably forgot more than we know now.
Most have gone to 'the big pier house in the sky' now, but a few of those fishing 'legends' are still around (HR and Hollis come to mind).
Still when I was asked that question many years ago I was at a loss to say who THE best fisherman on the pier was...
About that time a young kid of 6 or 8 years old caught a common fish (something mundane like a hardtail) and started squeeling with delight in the accomplishment of landing his first fish. :yay:
Then it hit me, the BEST fisherman on the pier was the one having the most fun!
:headbang: :yippee:

Amen,
So don't get mad when people start hollering when they hook up, it's all about having fun...

Depends on what specie. When it comes to remora no body on the pier can touch me.

Don't do it on my account. I'm not a censor.
I'd hate to deny anyone the pleasure of admiring the art.oke1:
Boy, this thread took a left at Albuquerque - a sure sign that it's winter and there's not much to talk about.
Screw it. Let's ride.

Dont' leave me out----I may not be as good at catching remoras as Sammy, but I'm pure h#ll at catching LYs with a ribbon rig (when they're thick).

It's a chi chi!
Shouldn't you be in some tree this time of year??Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

I seen fish killed in Melbourne in the early 70's, we were snagging some monster fish out of the ICWW around Merrit Island. loved the fishing opportunity's as a kid there, fresh and salt water both...
