    Stainless thru-bolting is the way to go and slightly tilt/shim the rod holders out at top to keep the rods from beating you in the back of your head when you tow the cooler.

    My first cooler was similar and did exactly that(hit my head in tow) then I went to the one pictures and put them on both sides after removing the cooler handles ,worked great, till I found a buddy Jr. for 50.00

    I probably will threw bolt them. I just haven't had time to pick some bolts up. The rods are really close to touching but weren't quite.

    Here is my recent project. We usually come down once a year during the summer on vacation and always fish the pier. We wanted a cart, but couldn't justify the space it would take up. My dad found this cart and we used it this year as is:



    Of course, we thought of things here and there what we could do. Well, finally had the time and here is what we came up with. It's all modular and takes up little space.............well, except for the net.
