That would be perfect if the tines curved up more...with them angled out like that, they are less likely to get a good "stick" in a fish. And they would need sharpening to a fine point
I had one I made using 1/2" SS rod stock (it was the only SS rod stock I had at the time)...it had 5 prongs, with all of the shanks welded together. I haven't seen it since I loaned it to my brother several years ago.
Academy--O&H Mfg. 2.5" Bridge Gaff/Pier Hook | Academy
BPS--Offshore Angler 2-1/2'' Hook Bridge Gaff | Bass Pro Shops: The Best Hunting, Fishing, Camping & Outdoor Gear (identical to the one from Academy but $25 more)
Frog-gigging.com--Stainless Steel Bridge or Pier Gaff (Weighted)
Ebay--pier gaff | eBay
Huntfishsupply--Price List
When I get my welding machine up and running, I may make a few and start selling them.

Make 'em like Ironman and I bet you can sell a bunch. I'd buy one!

There was a strong demand at first.....but slowly dwendald, to not many.....became like work and a hassle to ship for me.....you only need so many gaff's on the pier, and usually someone has one when needed (Gulf shores) anyway......problem might be on others, unless they know you.....owning one there is usually a tourist around willig to help out.....might even make his or her day helping in landing a fish
My pleasure was figuring out the process for making them, and the pleasure the users had having them.....they do work well with most larger fish.
What is one original worth to you?Bill..............

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
