If you are going to fight, fight like you are the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's ark and brother, it's starting to rain!

I got a pair of Calcutta braid scissors ($5) at J&M and put them on a retractable badge holder that clips to my belt loop. Scissors are always right there when I want them. Been carrying them this way for years and haven't hurt myself with them yet.

leatherman wingman would be my choice

One of my best tools. Made in USA. Can be had for less than $40 (paid $25 when on sale). Has a great scissor although it's hard for braid less than 30lb test. But the scissor is on the outside and you can use it very easily, along with the knife. The plier can be used to remove the hooks.

Gerber 400 and 600 sport (?). I have 3 400's and one modded 600. The 600 didn't come standard with the scissors, had to fix that.
