    Re: Ultimate Peir Cart

I think you are looking at the dry box on the back. The bait tank is actually a 55 gallon drum that was cut down to fit the bottom shelf. There is a screw hatch on the top shelf for access. The bait does really well in it. The first year the pier was open bait was hard to get after daylight. We would fill the tank up with about 50 ly's which would last the entire day. On really hot days we would either add a couple of gatorade bottles filled with frozen water or drain some of the water and refresh. The filtration system was added at a later date which eliminated having to refresh the water. Here is a pick of the first generation of the cart that shows the bait tank better. This is before the dry box (where the cooler is) and filtration system.

    Re: Ultimate Peir Cart

I don't know if it is already been said but it would be nice to integrate some slide-out tackle storage for easy access on the new cart. It becomes a pain when you get cut off and have to run back and take the tackle box out of the cart, then look through the slide out shelves out of the newer tackle boxes like I have. I finally started making labels so I wouldn't have to look through each tray for leaders. BTW I've always thought you had the coolest cart out there :headbang:. Me and my dad were just talking about making something similar to the one you have.

Snake, If I build a new cart I will obviously be selling this one if you don't want to have to build your own.
