    You can make double drop rigs with 10# fluorocarbon that will almost disappear in the water. Takes about 10 minutes to make one, and are more productive than store bought rigs. There are several good videos that I watched on youtube, thanks to some forum member's suggestion, and our catch rate improved greatly when we used the flouro leaders. Wish I was catching and eating fresh pomps.

    I have caught a lot of pompano on 2/0 circle hooks. I even had one hit a piece of cut mullet on a 4/0 circle hook. But since I have also caught some big redfish on pompano rigs I like to use a bit sturdier hook.
