I have been going down for the last twelve years and fished in the surf. I have never been too crowded to fish and if it got tight, being courteous helped form a good relationship with your week long neighbors.
The tides are in your favor and change typically when the swimmers are having breakfast or napping!
Besides, if you catch something...instant celebrity!
