Re: Snaking kings?
Heck, when its crowded, chances are your are going to have to throw near someone anyway.
A long as we all get to hear drag sing and see some one bowed up, who cares? Its all good fun!
Now if its a big cobe, that might be a different story..........
I personally was quite amazed how smoothly things went saturday morning, even when we had a full open spanish bite and a school of bull reds hooked up thrown in with a pile of tourist, there were still few bad tangles and a ton of cooperation going on. I personally gave away about 50' of 50# mono leader and a pile of straws & bubbles to tourists who didnt have the rigs to catch spanish but knew enough to ask for help. They were quite greatful!Carl
Life is too short to drink bad beer.

Re: Snaking kings?
to all...I'll way in on this a little bit. I think its up to each fisherman to do what he/she thinks is "right" in that situation.
just remember there is always payback for both good and bad deeds done to another. Let the snake beware!! Satan is portrayed in the bible as a serpent (snake)...if the shoe fits.
Besides there are only 5 kinds of snakes and I hate them all...live, dead, poisonsou, non-poisonous, and them damn sticks that lay in the road and make you think they are a snake. BewareBrother

Re: Snaking kings?
I think snaking is funny. I have pier mice snake kings from me all the time, and I always get a kick at it. I never thought to get upset about it.
I say snake away. It makes things more fun. There was one guy Sun. that got all mad that some one snaked his king, but whatever.

snakin is fun to do and don't bother me to have it done to me.. love to watch the strike. i won't bomb intentionally but will snake from a rat..do unto them cause they will do unto you..kinda stay away from googan kids, would rather them feel the strike, googan grown ups,,,well that is a different story...

This is why I miss trolley fishing. Stand at the rail with a cig watching the lys swim in circles waiting for a king to surface. Snaking is so much more fun when done off a trolley.

Re: Snaking kings?
Wow looks like some of ya'll dont know me too well...i wasn't asking permission, because i always have snaked fish and will continue... i just wanted to see who would get bent out of shape about it... (so i could snake them) :headbang:
Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
