Sorry Haywire, your listening to those voices again. It's throwing a pork chop because the net didn't open all the way, hence pork chop shaped!

Carl, I got called on this one. Crazy fish are not the same as leather jackets. They both have the anal fins, but the leather jacket is a more streamlined fish and his spines hurt worse. Pier#r told the the real name for crazy fish, but it has slipped my memory.

Has no one posted Googan yet??
That's a person who doesn't pay attention, throws common sense out the window and fishes in way that screws other people up.
Example: Like when I'm coming down the rail, yelling "coming down, fish one" and the GOOGANs just stand there with 4 rods leaning on the rail and a big double top tackle box wide open.
Or fishes in way that makes no sense. Example: two gotchas on a heavy wire bottom rig with stinky squid on every hook. And a cork. That's Googan fishing.
You forgot fishing a spinning reel upside down, usually attached to a rod made for a conventional reel. They also take offense to advice usually followed up by letting you know how many years they've been fishing/coming down to the beach.

Can't help but smile and go about your day.

Sadly, in my recent talks with coworkers I have come to realize that casting with a spinning reel is something that not everyone is accustomed to. I must've assumed this was the norm, considering I've been fishing with an "open faced reel" since I was 8-10 yrs old!

Now that is something that realllllyyyyyyy makes me cringe and want to scream.
Don't you think a grown adult can looks around at the other 99% of people using spinning reel and figure out they are doing something that is not only wrong but awkward as hell???
Maybe they would rather struggle and look stupid vs. ask for advice?????

They could get magic markers and write "GOOGAN" on their foreheads, if there is enough space. I can sort of understand it with kids and ladies who haven't been before, but like you said, they should look around.
