To my knowledge I don't think I have ever complained on this site about loosing xraps or getting sharked . I just don't like my fishing being limited some , it get daylight around 530 and you not going to be able to get on the end for two hours . All the effort so far has resulted in one shark . It needs to be open for any one at any time to do it , that's the way Florida does it and. People are hooking shark like that throughout the day all the time on purpose anyway , they just say it was accidentally done , let them bring them up , you would get rid of more sharks and not close off any of the pier

HA! Never have I been one who "can go anytime u want".
We get it. We understand you're frustrated, you've made that quite clear,(again & again & again ;-)
but let's stay on topic and move on...
And anytime I do get to go there is an hour+ drive each way (and often a loss of wages that could have been earned).
So it's NOT "easy to say"...
But I and many others here, endure even more without whining about it...

Wow...!!!!!!!
If you were part of what has been going on the last few years with the sharks you should understand the process that is happening and should understand the small inconvenience to you on your trip. (an hour and a half for two days!!)
People talk of not visiting the pier due to the number of sharks that take away from catching real fish.
Fyi - Fish caught on the octi can be caught a few more yards down the pier as well.
Thank you to the state for giving the shark fishing a try and even modifying what you did the first two weeks.
The state has made great strides in answering to the many people who are part of this forum in making changes, and possibly more changes to come as long as things are safe and controllable.
The average tourist would not even have a way to get a large shark decked without the proper equipment even if they tried!
To think, the forum had enough power to change pier ruled through a government operation!!!
I hope Johntr21 comes to enjoy the pier on his vacation.
Obviously you have picked GS over the what the other piers have to offer and what your family can enjoy while you fish.
Maybe you can try another pier for one of the days you feel inconvenienced.
It's time for us to stop entertaining the people who want to complain, wine, and be negative on the process that is happening on the best pier in the gulf.

If it's truly an issue Johntr21 why not call the pier / state park etc and voice your displeasure and inform them of your feelings?
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
