I'll be tuned in Tomorrow night hoping for some live footage, or pics.

Facebook pier rats would be the best bet for that live feed

I can't hook up to Face book at work, but have never had issues with this site.

There should be some footage available thru WKRG and WALA (local TV stations)...

Anyone concerned this event has the potential to be a public relations nightmare for Gulf Shores and the State of Alabama? I would caution any and all live feed videos, especially once sharks are decked and need to be dispatched. We live in a world where the internet can and will turn a well-intentioned event into something that grandma Judy in British Columbia shares with her 1,200 quilting friends under the title..."shameless murdering of helpless sharks by MAGA hat wearers..."

The idea of sharking in the evening is a good one. An even better idea would be to read tomorrow...."10 sharks decked last evening, and we hope for the same next week." And...that's...it.

I've never been so excited for a fishing trip that I will not be a part of as I am for tonight! I have no doubt there will be enough knowledgeable people involved to make sure this goes off well.

That is precisely why the State Park wanted to keep this 'low key' or at least on a small scale.
They want to control the situation and it seems are well prepared.
I am curious about the public reaction to the TV news footage, interviews and such and hope it will reflect well on the pier, park and the fishermen involved.
And I hope that sometime in the future we will look back on this day and say "Wow. I remember the days' BEFORE shark fishing was allowed, and things are so much better now."

Remember, a journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step ;-)

I'd like to echo what BFG said.

This would be a good time to leave your political or social statements on T-shirts and hats at home.

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

I'm satisfied with just seeing pictures and hearing accounts of what happens. I imagine there'll be a crowd at the cleaning station!
