AL.com is soon going to follow many of the other newspapers in the US and go bankrupt. We wont have to put up with their poor reporting forever. I just canceled my subscription to the BHM News because it is becoming less useful every year.

Also remember that the media are in business to sell "the news"; there is no requirement that it be completely accurate, only that it be compelling. Why else would they be so enraptured with Her Imperial Highness, the soon to be Queen Hillary?

I think that we've all agreed that it's a bad idea to allow this unique forum to devolve into a political or religious battlefield. There are dozens of places where a person can spout off about his/her general religious or political convictions. That said, there are times when Alabama politics affect recreational fishing. In that context, of course, it's completely appropriate to have those discussions. Otherwise, while it's tempting, in this political season, to want to discuss national politics here, it's just counterproductive to the friendly and cooperative atmosphere that characterizes this site.

Eym.. I agree, I think my question got off track. I only wanted to know if this was normal and does it affect fishing in anyway.

My bride got something on our last fall trip, when she got close to the pier that had a lot of sea weed/grass.....later saw on the news about irritation from the sea weed? And larva on it......never had a problem before or after......she stayed away from floating grassy areas

Seaweed is full of little critters, like larval fish, crabs, jellies, anemonies, etc.... So easy to see that you could have some irritation or rash after coming in contact with it.
Agreed, leave the political BS off this site, we don't need it here.
Go to AL Live and read the comments on any story if you don't have enough of that shit in your life.Carl

Yep, eym-, Carl, What y'all said. I love that political stuff, and I am highly opinionated. Not real sharp, but opinionated. But that is not what I want here, at this place. Here, I get something better.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
