    Fairhope Pier Cam:
Note the extreme low water level and ice ring around the sandbar...

That is the Dog River Bridge in the background,
'crisply' seen even though it is 11 miles away!

Put another log on the fire, Maw. Reckon I'll be wearing the socks without any holes next day or two. The little birds are about to eat the bottom out of the feeder trying to get enough calories to stay warm.

Since there's no snow or ice with this system, I don't need to put out an alert for busloads of cheerleaders stranded by the severe weather and in need of my kind attention and excessive amounts of hot, restorative adult beverages while they dry their icy clothing in front of my fire. Sorry, but I better quit for a while---those images are starting to get The Voices all excited and some of the inappropriate things they're saying might slip out.

I agree. We had a 'toasty' -3 this morning. Who knows what the wind chill was.

You 'Yankees' need to keep that cold air bottled up north! lol
It keeps leaking out and delaying Spring down here.

This latest "roller coaster ride' has near freezing temps on the beach two nights in a row, then up to near 70 this weekend.
The water temp has taken another 'hit', dropping 8 degrees in Perdido Pass this week.
Only a few degrees drop out in the Gulf (@ 42012), but still that is moving in the 'wrong' direction ;-)

The gubment thinks this cool trend may continue (at least for a couple more weeks)

-4 here this morning call for a high of 16. Normal is mid 50's for the high on this date. Since Sunday we have had sleet, freezing rain and snow. I went to the store yesterday and there was not a loaf of bread, milk or toilet paper to be found any place. Don't know what people do with all that toilet paper. :-)
Dance naked my friends, life is short.

6 degrees here near the Tennessee line. Sleet, snow and freezing rain for Friday. I wish this global warming thing would stop.
