Re: Remora rodeo
Kill'em all and let Neptune sort'em out... I swat skeeters too.
#r has a recipe and says they're OK to eat... Give'em to #r, he'll eat anything, just like Mikey.

Die if you must, but die on your home turf with your face to the wind, not in some stinking hellhole 2,000 kilometers away, among people you neither know nor care about.

Re: Remora rodeo
It amazes me how that one commercial has been misquoted, even when it was current. For the record Mikey "hates everything", not that "he'll eat anything".

Re: Remora rodeo
I can attest to Tom's claims about them eating like a cobia. He talked me into eating one on a trip last summer and I must say it was quite good. Now would I load my ice chest up with them during day light hours if my family was starving, NO.

Re: Remora rodeo
Some would say its senseless killing... If we didn't cut a few trees there would be no room for homes. It's only wasted if we threw them in the trash. Other species want to eat them but can't catch them like crabs.. and crabs. If we send some to the bottom then the crabs can get fat and we will gladly eat those. Just trying to help them help us kinda deal.
We call it catching not fishing!

Re: Remora rodeo
Now we're not being vicious and just killing for no purpose. We are helping the crab gain access to more food. Helping the survival of our bait fish. Reduce the blood pressures of many of our older anglers. All in all it's a crusade to improve our fishing ground. So I have my hats off to those that are in the fight with us.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
