Good to hear from you Ironman. I'm not sure what is happening up there now at this time but I know last year they had an ice fishing contest a year ago this week end at Lake Pepin, part of the Miss. and had 2000 entries at $25.00 a pop and the winning and only fish caught was a .7 pound crappie. I wonder how many entries they had this year.
It was -1 at noon and it was suppose to get own to -12 tonight,,,,,, lets see,,,,, where would I rather not be catching fish.

We always go from Gulf Shores to J&M's that way and have only seen 3 dudes one time fishing it. I have asked at J&M if they ever catch anything out of there and they said not in the Winter time. It might be worth a shot, thanks, Chillin !

yea hard water fishing around here can be tough too for catching(at least for me) sometimes I would get lucky though with the inland bodies of water ....just commented to my Bride it was 68 degrees there yesterday, and I see 72 today....darn sure better then what we have been dealing with the past few weeks here.....I really need to move much closer before I am dead

Ironman, I'm glad to hear you're liking it out there, but I hate to think I'd have to go through the fall fishing without your company---bad enough that John the Pirate isn't with us any more, but if some of the regulars who have a choice, like you and Hogman, don't attend, the place won't be as much fun.

Yo flyguy, this is John with J&M. Fishing around here this time of year can be more difficult than ice fishing in Minnesota during July.
