Re: Polarized lens
Green mirror with amber lenses work the best for the gulf(near shore) and freshwater lakes and ponds. The 400 lenses work really well but if you want the "HD experience" go with the 580's. The glass lenses aren't that heavy, I broke my Costa Harpoons not too long ago and tried on a pair of 580 Permits(much larger frames than the Harpoons) and could barely tell a difference...but i guess if you wear them all day you can tell.

Re: Polarized lens
I currently wear plastic ambers. Any one have any experience with amber AND green mirror? Is the difference in fish sighting ability significant?
Screw it. Let's ride.

[size=12pt]DD, mine are green/copper 580’s, you are welcome to take ‘em for a test drive next time I see ya on the pier.
It is my understanding that the green mirror is only available on copper lens and the blue on gray lens.

There is confusion on that even with Costa. I have seen that Green Mirrors with Amber are available, but different people you talk to say they arent. The place I got mine from said they were not offered, but a brochure I have says they are available green/amber. It might be that green/amber are only available in 580p?

Re: Polarized lens
I have 580p's rx in byfocal, copper, I was told by an eye glass place and by Costa themselves, that one can not get any mirror in rx, byfocal copper, but they are better that the dark grey or black sunglasses that I had.

dd, I have green mirror w/ amber, but only in 400 lenses...but as to what you're asking I like the amber lenses, it is a little brighter than than the copper lenses in my opinion. Just yesterday I went sightfishing for bream with the flyrod from the boat. I was spotting bedding fish repeatedly while my cousin( an Oakley sunglasses guy) didn't see too much. Now being 20' above the water on the pier you can only imagine how much better sight fishing gets :headbang:

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
