I just want to chime in with an option for another time, one that I just found recently... Steve's farm, Main
Take the kids cat catching, since this is 'Catching' the kids having fun is almost guaranteed.
You pay by the pound for what you catch and you can pay to have them cleaned whole or filleted, this is a nice option.
And for you, if you get the chance to wet a line, there are some big'uns lurking in their ponds, 10#s and larger is not uncommon.Ragnar Benson:
Never, under any circumstances, ever become a refugee.
Die if you must, but die on your home turf with your face to the wind, not in some stinking hellhole 2,000 kilometers away, among people you neither know nor care about.

we went under the bridge at the pass. Caught a couple snapper, I had something hooked for about a minute, it was running, right under the wall and broke off.
Had a good time, 3 dozen shrimp don't last long. J&M had some HUGE shrimp.
Very windy today, current was running pretty hard. Heck, I was ready to go back tonight, but my boy stayed over a friends house.
Might try again this next weekend. Need to find some more spots to try.

went today after work. Brought my boy and his friend. Caught about a dozen snapper, most keepers. Got a nice size ladyfish, about 5 lbs. That was fun. Tried my luck on a red/gold doa shrimp, third cast, something hit it, broke my line on impact, AND my brand new rod! Taking it back tomorrow to get a new one. Fished twice with it, lol. We had blast regardless. Nothing hit my dead finger mullet I had on a float. They were tearing up cut up cigar minnows. Might head back over tomorrow or sunday.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
