Caught my attention too. I can only hope he is a cop and a hunter that uses a 308!

Perhaps he's a police sniper?

Thought the 308 was British? Never owned a gun, so I may be wrong.

My guess is he's a cop, and a hunter, and uses the 308.
And no, the .308 isn't British. The .303 is British and was in use when we had the .30-06. The .308 is the civilian equivalent to the 7.62x51 and came into use with the m14.Brandon

Sorry guys the bite picked up later in the evening and I didn’t check back to this thread. I caught 4 Reds, several mangrove snapper, skip jack and pinfish.
Yes, I’m a cop, I use to hunt a lot but not so much anymore and I use a 308 when I go.
chillnfish I saw one person slurping shrimp so it had to be you. I was wearing a bright yellow swim shorts with a white Columbia shirt and Columbia hat and I was on the East side. And no I was not one of those idiots jumping out there in the Pass with all those jellyfish.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
