Well, my work plans changed last minute and I will now be off on Saturday so count me in now! Don't know what I am going to bring yet, but I will have something whipped up.

Who's going to bring the barbequed chicken and sausage? How about the baked beans and potato salad? How about some peach cobbler, chocolate cake and apple pie? C'mon folks, lets blow the soot out of the smokestack.

Unfortunately I'm 850 miles away in Illinois visiting family, or I'd commit to a huge pot of spicy chicken/sausage Jambalaya and plates/cutlery.
Sorry to be missing this, it has always been fun and delicious.Ragnar Benson:

Sorry I can't fire up the smoker this year George. I have to volunteer at the Buffet concert tonight, help set up for the high school band banquet in the morning and deal with a couple thousand customers coming through the store tomorrow because of the concert and mullet toss being the same weekend. And if it rains tomorrow, the number of people in the store will be way more than that. It will be a major cluster of a good kind.

It may turn out to be a loaves and fishes picnic.
John G has carried more than his share of the picnic for years and its time for the rest of us to suit up and show up.

I asked Fin a while back to post someone's address so those of us so grateful for this forum and all the folks who are there to educate us pier fishing illiterates but live too far away to make the picnic could send something to defray the costs involved. He thought things were pretty well covered at the time. Things are looking a little meager. Haywire, if you will send me a PM with address I will send a check for $50.00 to you tomorrow and challenge others in the same condition to help out as they are led. Use it to buy plates, cups and the such....OR...go to Hooters and buy a bunch of wings. I called. Unfortunately they won't send a couple girls to deliver to the pier. Something about some gnarley old Aqualung looking man with a mouse in his pocket....

David Allison started a post on Facebook and there are people bringing plates, utensils, paper towels, drinks, potato salad, chips, and desert. As far as I know there is no real meat yet. I would probably have contributed to that in some way but I originally was supposed to work and then managed to get off last minute. So I had to settle for making coleslaw, something quick and easy.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
