Snake, sounds like the arm is sticking. Take the spool off and inside the rotor is a screw. Loosen that a bit and put some oil to see if that frees it up.

Yes exactly. I bought my 704 for $55 in great condition off of ebay. You can find them relatively cheap. Good luck finding a 705 but when you do, they'll be relatively lower cost than the 704 because they don't sell as well.

Most of the 705's I see on ebay are higher than the 704's. The guy that uses 710 for kings has he ever landed one with it? My 7500ss has 15lbs on it that the guy at j&m recomended when I had it spooled there. Guess I will have to rig up some and try casting and everything with my left hand who knows May not be that bad.

f it's a 7500 and not a 750 you should be able to switch the handle. If you can't do it now all you have to do is change the pivot.

I can on mine it is a 7500ss but the look of the 700's from the good ole days is what I want. I may be wrong but I thought they were for only whatever hand they were made for.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. 705 and 707 Penn Spinfishers are junk. I bought a 705 for my son and wound up throwing it away so nobody would ever have to fish with that turd again.

I use my 704 for king and it has a manuel, there is one issue that I see often with my 704, line likes to get stuck in between the line roller and the arm. Other than that the 704 is an ok reel, if you are going to get a manuel reel though, my strong suggestion is to go on ahead and get a 706 (707 in your case), or a new spinfisher V 650 w the manuel, if not, just go with a newer reel like a battle or a conflict

I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.
