Re: the pass in ob
Not sure.. I hope that there are no plans to start charging to fish or for the parking garage.

If they were to ask me for my input, I would say build something similar to this:

I wouldn't mind paying for the right to fish there if it meant that others wouldn't be messing up the area or they at least used some of the money to keep it clean. If they were to keep it free it may draw some of the dead bait on the bottom slobs away from the pier.

D, where's that photo taken? I'd like to see that across Perdido Pass! Grover catcher paradise!

Re: the pass in ob
I did a Google image search with the words "pier under bridge florida", since I knew that Florida has several piers and dikes underneath bridges. I just copied the first one that looked like it would be ideal for Perdido Pass. This one happens to be in Vero Beach, here is a link to the site I snagged the pic from: http://www.tcpalm.com/photos/2008/jul/25/98432/ It would be a very productive fishing platform, not just for but including mangos.

Re: the pass in ob
[font=comic sans ms][size=12pt]Stopped at the pass and got a couple pics on the way home from church. Building the restaurant out of old containers! I woulda got more but it started pouring rain as soon as I got out of the vehicle. No evidence of any progress on the seawall.
The southwest corner of the parking area not lookin’ very fisherman friendly anymore.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
