I think I might have met you a couple of years ago on the City Pier in Panama City, did you used to fish there or still fish there?

Kings run like the first striper run except about twice as hard and 4 times as far. Really fun. Warning is that after king fishing bass fishing is a little tame.

Apparently you've never had six pounders blowing up on frogs in the thickest brush you can find. Not too tame the way I prefer to fish for bass.

Yes, fish the City Pier usually in October and the spring. We usually stay the entire month of October. I am sure we have met. Lots of good people on that pier.

I remember you Ironman. You are a very good fisherman. Yes, usually stay at the Calypso so my wife doesn't call and want me to bring her the car in the middle of a good king or Spanish run.

Last fall trip the pin fish and baby jacks were so bad a good bait would be killed in 10sec. After hitting the water.....never seen it like that and very frustrating, almost made me never wanting to return, most likely just a fluke when I was there and the school took up residency.....always had sucess with spanish & kings.....plus seeing sails from the pier was a treat in the early fall

Last spring was slow for us. In 2 weeks we caught 2 kings and one sail and a bunch of spanish. Kings were small. The bite was not good the last week of April and the first week of May. Went out in the boat 6 times and fished from 20 feet to 70 feet and had one king bite that ran off 100 yards of line and bit through the wire leader. Couple of sharks were cut loose.

Took the hook out of the sail and let her swim off.
