I would think, it will be tough finding one now .....It is and will be spring break time, and might be booked up, most good places anyway....with out driving a good ways.....just saying....good luck in your search :boohoo:

this is where we find our lodging....rent from owners....better deals and willing to work with you some

Don't forget the SEC softball tournaments, the baseball tournaments, the cheerleading conventions, the OB soccer shootout, the beach volleyball tournament, and so on. And that's just march.

If you want a hotel room, better book early. People don't realize that on a busy sport month combined with spring break there won't be a free room on the island. Your best bet is to wait til after spring break is over the second to third week of april. Fort Morgan is a also a good option to get away a little further. Lots of houses to rent.

Thanks for the info. I'll be there 3/22-25. Done a little pier fishing in the past. Mostly for spanish pomps and reds, but would love to get into something more exciting. A few days fishing beats working anyway.

If you plan ahead it's hard to beat the cabins at the State Park. Reasonable and very close to the pier.
