It could Dennis. Usually adding a little is OK, but it could.
Mainly from temperature shock or a drastic change in temperature, salinity or Ph.
J&M's shrimp are always awesome!(RETIRED) mostly.

I poured a bucket of sea water in with my Fresh Market shrimp and they had a party---I had to tell them to keep the band down. They were really nice looking shrimp, but they were the same kind I kept getting early last spring---the sheepies wouldn't bite them. The croakers bit them real well when I cut them in pieces.

I change the water regularly in the bucket while at the pier. Usually when I have several dozen in the pail, the water gets dirty quick. Never had any trouble except when there is a big temp difference, then I add it slowly without problems.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
