I understand bud, I honestly will stay most likely stay within 1/2 mile of the shore. I'm staying in gulf highlands in between ft morgan and Gulf shores. I mainly plan to fish in the mornings up and down that bit of stretch close to my beach house. i'm not afraid to take it out farther but I really would rather have company experienced with that area going out that far.

Feel free to PM me, if Im around I always enjoy meeting up to go out. Im a member of MBKFA and active on their forums as well. I'll agree with what has already been said, no reason to really go that far out. Get out past the second bar and catch kings and spanish. As long as you are not on the tip of ft morgan and just launching out from the beach in reasonable conditions (1-2ft waves less than 15k winds) you should be ok. Those are my general conditions limits. More seas or wind than that and its just not enjoyable. Also, I have never offshore fished without a buddy or two. It's a lot more fun that way and safe, plus in the summer its not really hard to find folks to meet up with. In fact, out of navarre in spring and early fall some days it looks like a plastic armada out there.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
