Maybe you know something I don't on how to get out of the pass as I was there a couple of weeks ago and looked at the Gulf side and I don't see how you could get any sized boat across the sandbars once out of the pass.
I wonder how far out they will derdge once project is complete.
I have a place on the Little Lagoon and it sure would be nice if you could get a boat out of the pass.

Funny u mention that it is nearly closed off currently, a solid sand bar across the mouth. From what im told we will be monitoring the depth for ten days straight now and then the go ahead should be givin to begin dredging, so between that and the construction it may be a month or more before its navigable. But i believe things are being set in motion to get it open again. Wish had more solid info for u.

Because the eastern seawall only extended out to the approximate beach line any natural sand movement (littoral drift) is going to push a beach bar across the mouth to the west eventually 'pinching off' the flow in and out of the Lagoon.
Kastlemac, will the dredging operation extend southward to remove the sandbar outside the end of the jetties?

Not gonna get much flow in or out with this sandbar in place...
Kudos to Finchaser for the pic!

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
