J & M has Ghost Suckers in a barrel right by the checkout counters. I didn't notice the price.

Thanks, Bill. I ordered a 32" from Amazon. The price is right and we'll see if it holds up.

let me know if it does hold up...I hate not buying from J&M and not suggesting, not too either,
my self, I like making things to use on the gulf coast for fishing as some might know...fills some of my time up here in the cold winter days preparing for the next trip....been doing it for many years always making and preparing for the next trip, just goes with the fishing experience from afar

Yessir, I know what you mean about loyalty to J&M, but, if I remember right, those pumps cost in the vicinity of $40 vs $15 for the toy from Amazon. I am already prepared to act humble when John laughs at me about my toy breaking and he's sold out of PVC suckers. I wish I could have bought the $8, 24" sucker, but by the time I stayed bent over that far to get a mess of ghosties, I wouldn't be able to straighten up long enough to catch fish with them.

The sinkers you sent are still in the box, and I will distribute them when I get home from hunting camp this week---thanks.

Home Depot now has ghost shrimp pumps with little assembly for $15.96. All pieces are already pre cut & drilled. All you have to do is pick up the bundle basket they have up front, too easy

I know, I know---it all depends on how deep I wade, but will hip boots get me to where they live and keep me dry, presuming there's a north wind, low tide and little or no surf?

I really don't want to spring for chest waders unless it's really necessary. Aside from the cost for even a cheap pair, by the time I get some that will fit my big feet, there's room in the upper part for a small family of migrant workers without even crowding my ample belly too much (as long as they don't build fires and try to cook in there). As a matter of fact, I look so weird in chest waders, I'm afraid that other shrimp seekers in my vicinity will become so weak from laughing at me that they will fall over and get wet, perhaps contracting colds, flu or some other dread disease. I cant' stand the strain of that kind of responsibility.

So, will hip boots work, or would I be better off just getting wet and letting the cold water shrink my scrotal appendage up to the vicinity of my navel?
Little Lagoon side of the bridge in the shallows/parking lot side, ankle deep water when the tides going out. Easiest time I've ever had getting ghosts.
