[QUOTE=BamaChemE;93741]My brother in law and I caught our limit of pompano this morning. Looking to hook up with something bigger

Catch your limit(s) of Pompano again and I'll swap you a fair-sized Red.

I'm not looking to catch one just to eat. I want to catch it for the fight.

Quick question. We have been catching croaker this morning. Should we keep those and try them for bait to use this evening? Will anything take a live croaker?

The biggest trout I have ever caught have been on big croakers. Sometimes I wasn't even sure how the speck could eat the croaker.

Sad day, the place had been pretty bad for quite some time though. Still a good place to launch a boat or kayak though. There's also still plenty of good spots for surf fishing if you know how to read the sand bars and the conditions are right.
