Be aware that the bay is full of pinfish and you will go through a lot of shrimp. Larger shrimp seem to be able to avoid the pinfish a little better.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Also, don't throw them in a cooler and let them flop around in the ice. That will spook them.

It may be hit or miss on good trout at that time. Dinks no problem and reds should be real good...just about time for the trout to do that disappear thing they do every year.

Dinks are small specs, too small to keep.
For reds, live shrimp, small croakers or mullet, Gulps, etc..Carl
Life is too short to drink bad beer.

Still good trout down through that area as of yeaterday gcryar! But there is very little live bait in the way of finger mullet or shrimp or small menhaden.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
