And here I was worried that April 12th might be way to late......
At this rate, I will be in the ballpark.Carl

everyone is in the hunt, till your day passes..... it could be anytime now
I don't need a J&M king rod....I have one already... that can't be replaced.... helped by John himself to redo....
so if fortunate & lucky enough to win, I will donate to either a deserving young man, that may not be able to afford one or at the picnic if there is a raffle of some kind to benefit someone or something ....
you guys are the best and sharing is something that I enjoy doing ....just wish I could do it for more, then is done now
It would give me a good reason to come and visit and fish...... like I need oneBill..............

Well, it is obvious that I didn't catch the first king while I was there the first week of March. Once on the pier and twice on Orange Beach of seeing nothing made me question whether or not there are even any fish in the whole Gulf. The good news is that the main reason for the trip to God's Country was a huge success. My daughter's wedding on Romar Beach was awesome.

I echo Ironman's thought. Not that I HAVE a great king rod, but I really don't get to fish enough to do it justice!
I would do the same, so someone get hot and make March 24th a lucky day!!!!

Water temp at DI a toasty 66 today (Physical Oceanography - NOAA Tides & Currents) and with air temps steady in the mid to upper 70's all week, I bet we see the first "scouter" landed before Friday. Good luck to all!

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
