Thread: fall fishing?

October is by far imo the best. Early November is exceptionally good fishing too. It varies though, weather plays a big factor in the fall.

October- reds, blues, Kings, Spanish, specks, big croakers, and my personal favorite, flounder.

Early/mid November- Kings, Spanish, bull reds, big croakers, and flounder.

BINGO! Just popped on a freshly listed PENN 712Z off the interweb shopping center. Just shy of 13oz's, this one's gonna be for the wife's new Spanish rig.
Need some advice on the rod selections. Prob gonna spend wayyyy more on the rods than I did on the reels.

I am going to sort of disagree with the October thing.Yes you COULD still catch fish then.
But I like the harvest moon in late September.
The tides are highest around the equinox and with that water movement comes my biggest catches.
Then too in October comes the Gill Net plague.
I come to relax not watch gill netters ply a 'trade' that in any other part of the world would result in jail.
So i go to other coast lines when they are allowed to come near where i normally fish.
