What do you mean, "No Spam"? That stuff is the very staff of camp food---a true delicacy that can be prepared many ways or eaten raw. And it is so good for your cholesterol!

I agree nothing like Spam/Treet, fried with scramble eggs or on a sandwich. We were raised on Treet couldn't afford Spam, though I prefer Spam. Maybe that explains the 3x bypass years ago. And don't forget Spotted Dogs as we called them, potted meat, mustard on a cracker, the staple of late night catfishing.

How did we end up here, my OP was asking about circle hooks and braid line?

Now I understand. Thank you. I always knew you were a man of discerning tastes and would not demean good old canned Spam.

That's just how we roll! Sorta like getting on Wikipedia to look up a fish species and an hour later you end up on some article about baseball.....

As far as braid goes on the pier, I like it except for the occasional wind knots. I think why some shy away from it is because of the numerous lines in close proximity and if you hook a fish that makes a run across other lines, it's like a saw and will cut through everyone else's line. Thus not making you a popular neighbor with your fellow fisherman!

    good fishing....
It doesn't work very well on the head boats either, for the same reason.
