Better hope the wind doesn't shift to the west any time in the extended period...

How's the fishing on the pier now? I'm From Jackson, but spend my summers in foley. I've spent a lot of time on that pier and the fishing seems to be going downhill. 2 years ago, it was nothing to catch 50-60 SM in a day, (which is my personal favorite) thinking about driving down soon as possible just wondered what kinda of day to expect. Thanks

Fishing (catching) sure took a 'nosedive' this week when the wind swung to the southwest!
The water clarity 'went to hell' yesterday afternoon with a moderately strong W>E current.
NO spanish caught (that I saw) but heard of a few being seen.
And the netters were still after them just before sundown...
The water clarity should improve next week after the wind switches to NE then SE.

Plus the river levels are slowly receding which should allow the bays to begin to get salty.

Hopefully by mid May things will be smackin at the pier again! ??

or not!
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
