I've been putting my redfish carcasses in the garbage cans---it actually says in the small print on the sign that we should put our refuse in the containers. Makes the parking lot an unforgettable experience when the wind is right and the garbage truck dumps the containers---nearly brought me to my knees the other day.

Holy Crap, after all we went through to get that regulation changed? No wonder the Mid platform stinks so bad.
Come on Dawg, get that sign removed, PLEASE!

---And all this time I thought I was being a fine, upstanding, law-abiding citizen by not following my natural instincts to toss the carcasses overboard. I've always thrown over mackerel carcasses because they sink and stay sunk.

Re: Cleaning Station
I was fishing near the cleaning station the other day when one of the pier workers was pulling bull red carcasses out of the trash can and dropping them over the side. He told me that the sign said to put them in the cans but needed to be updated to remove that. He said most of the people know to drop them over the side.

Re: Cleaning Station
Maybe some stickers like this (on the cans) might help :-\

It seems the old pier had signs that read something like "THROW DEAD FISH AND BAIT OVERBOARD"

Re: Cleaning Station
Duct tape has many uses, so why don't they just tape over the part about putting carcusses in the trash can??!!!!!!
Sorry, just noticed that #'r had the same idea. +1

Re: Cleaning Station
While I was out yesterday I looked at the sign and the trash can thing is small, but evidently some folks do read the signs on the pier.

I suggested to the young man emptying the cans that a little strategically placed tape would make their job a little easier and would make the Mid platform a little less odoriferous.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
