I have learned a lot over the past several years by trial and error coming down to fish the surf and pier. I would be dollars ahead had I hired Mr. Thornton (Pier#r)for a few hours a long time ago. If you've ever fished right next to someone who was catching 10 to your one on the same lure he's that guy. Hit him up in advance and he can tell you what to bring or what to get from J&M when you get down here.

Chill, thanks for the tips and on how I get in touch with Mr Thompson I've been to J&M its like a freaking candy store! Have a future brother-law who told me what I need to buy... I'm sure most of it was true but I would rather hear it from local expert know what I mean. This Ohio weather is killing everything! i just kept thinking of that wonderful week in June my wife and girls on the beach and my ass on that pier All Day long!!

Subzero wind chills persist in Illinois. Stops long enough to snow, then resumes.

It's called a polar vortex. They used to be Alberta Clippers. 6 degrees is cold for Alabama.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
