I use tough bubbles and I fill them 90% full of clear silicone out of a caulk gun. Never have to worry about filling your bubble or cracking your bubble. Seems that they always break when the bite is "on" and you lose fishing time. Extra tip: use a Clark spoon "squid spoon" in size 00 for the lure.

+1 on the Clark Spoon, especially on sunny days retrieved away from the sun. Spanish Macks are like Josey Wales, they want the sun at their back.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Only problem with the Clark Spoon is the single hook. I used to throw it behind a bubble a lot but with other people around me getting steady hook ups on straws I quickly changed.
