If you are looking for a reel that you can use for freshwater bass fishing on a budget, look at the Abu Garcia Orra Inshore. I’ve seen several on eBay going between $60-80. If your budget is a bit higher, go for the Abu Garcia Revo Inshore. They tend to run $110-140 (I should know. I keep losing auctions because I’m too cheap. One of these days I’ll get one for $90... maybe).

Oh, one last thing, I prefer the Abu Garcia’s for several reasons, but one in particular is that it is easy to find parts for them, years after they stop making a particular model, at least that’s been my experience.

That sounds good. I like the Abu Garcia Revo Inshore. Just trying not to spend too much because I only get a chance to come down and saltwater fish twice a year.

What pound test for mono or braid?
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
