Good striper thread,
Never tried to ketch one, but always wanted to. Always thought that their tail looks exactly like a steelhead's.
They are very handsome fish.Beware the power of fools in large numbers

Get this, I get a call today saying I need to stop posting pics of dead fish on Facebook like the ones I posted here. This is supposedly coming from some guys in the local striper club that I am a member of. I am gonna call the source myself because there are a lot of guides that throw fish back and kill them in my area. It seems to be okay to catch, release, and kill 30 fish in a day, but not okay to catch my two fish limit and GO HOME! We only catch the limit of how ever many people are in the boat and leave no matter how good the bite is. The hypocrisy of it makes me sick at my stomach.

Some of the same people who frown upon keeping and occasional bull red will belly buster release one from 20' and expect them to survive. Keep what you eat and release the rest unharmed.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
