Odd, you being who you are, one would assume your body would just assimilate fish parts and move on....

You need a thread on fishing injuries
Bet there would be some good ones like the video of the guy last year at GS that stepped on the gaff laying on the ground
It might make people be a bit more cautious

OUCH! That reminds me of the old hockey commercials. The more you play the tougher you get. Pier fishing I think is about the same. I can't imagine the various injuries y'all have seen over the years who have put in the years. In my short time I've seen hooks in hands, feet, arms, legs, chests, heads, and ears. The sea offers some seriously nasty bacteria too. We talked to a dr when my mother was sick, his wife had scraped a leg on a barnacle at the pensacola pier, she got flesh eating bacteria and lost most of her leg. Don't mess around with infections out there.

I remember around this time last fall I was down by the bathrooms catching lys and pulled up two stud leather jacks. trying to get them loose and hear a voice telling me to be careful and that they give a nasty sting from the fins. When I turned to see John G is about the time the little booger starts flopping and stings me. I didn't get the reaction some do but GOD those things hurt. My hand went numb for like 15 mins, hate those little fish haha.

For those who are not familiar with the infamous Leatherjacket. If you catch one be careful, we had to call 911 a couple years ago for a man down from being finned.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
