Re: SkipJack Receipe exposed!
I wonder what six to seven hours in an ice chest in the hot sun with no ice does for them? I saw that when I left Saturday afternoon in an ice chest near the T. It was packed full of ladyfish and sitting open. Maybe that's their "quick tenderizing" plan.

Re: SkipJack Receipe exposed!
too many good fish in the gulf to waste time cleaning skippies.... if i was stranded, on an island with only a rod and reel.. if i caught a ladyfish, then it would be bait
Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

All ye naysayers, remember that triggerfish were considered trash fish for years. Sometimes common knowledge is just dead wrong. Try a blind taste test with fried pieces of speckled trout along side remora and see which is better.

Wasted time... Its TEN times easier to clean than a sheepshead. And it taste as well, not the same, but done this way it does taste good, and has No fishy flavor.

Ok now I understand were all the little scales came from that were stuck on the wall at the cleaning station. Water can also be used to clean them off. Just my 2 cents.

Haha! Yeah, definitely rinse the area after scaling fish.
For the most part, the cleaning station has been kept up much better this year than it was last year.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
