Re: You carry?
Absolutely , I carry . Glock 19 ,9mm on my person and a Judge Taurus alternating a Hornady 45 colt 255 gr. cowboy with a 3" PDX1 .410 Defender in my truck. Like most all I hope I never have cause to use either .

Fail! Think of the actual reaction of the of the sheeple, as you call them. I could see a call to the police and a chance for you to show your permit at gunpoint as a best case scenario. Bad things can and do happen when weapons are drawn. To accidentally expose your weapon can be embarrassing to deadly. To intentionally expose your CCW is just a dickhead move.

Yep, that actually happened last year on the Octi. A guy exposed his cc by having his shirt tail caught behind the pistol grip. Weather it was intentional or not, it caused a lot of discussion among those in attendance.
It wasn’t long before two park rangers and the GSPD were on the scene.
Open Carry is legal in Alabama, and there is no law making it illegal to have a concealed weapon print or otherwise become visible to the public. You sound like you're trying to imply I would intentionally open carry after having discussed the matter with the park?
The park made it clear as to their standing, and I've carried concealed every time I've been on the pier, no one has seen it.
If it became visible I would not be embarrassed, nor afraid, police come they will clarify state law & park regs with a call to their superiors or the park.
Your best case scenario is what is full of fail.
I normally OC almost everywhere in public, rarely does anyone freak out and runs screaming or call for the police, not even in a crowded Walmart or Bass Pro.
Yes, the people/sheeple can and do rarely get downright panicky and call the police, I've had it happen, but I've never had a gun drawn on me. Not even while Open Carrying, and that has had me talk to the police only three times in the 12 +/- years I've OC'd.
Almost every interaction I've had with LE has been a relatively good experience, none have been a bad experience, just a run of the mill ID and have good day sir, carry on.

According to Ranger Roger, the person said the gun was accidentally exposed and he had a cc permit. Evidently a cc permit trumps the No Firearms Rule.
BTW – The guy carrying was not and is not a member of this forum.

Re: You carry?
As I stated before, I contacted the GS Park & Pier and made sure there would be no misunderstanding after seeing the pier's rules.
Anybody who CCs and is prudent would do the same after seeing the rules posted, that or they would be foolhardy and negligent to their responsibility as a CCW holder.
I even went so far as to introduce myself to the young officer who rides the golf cart on the pier, I forget his name, and discuss the issue with him personally, so he knows me and knows I CC.
This is called being polite and respectful, and heading off potential problems before they start.
Allow me to clarify the rules, our State Law pertaining to State Parks.
Which the Gulf State Park & Pier (park/pier are one, same rules) are a part of, and hence they recognize and abide by these laws/regs.
Go spank yourself :spank: Cause it is RIGHT HERE.
Thanks, but I don't plan on jumping in the water.
And even if I did a good cleaning and lube at home would cure it of any corrosion.
I Open Carry at Ft. Morgan when I fish, it gets exposed to a lot more salt air/spray there, than it would on the pier.
Fort personnel didn't seem to care, Ranger on quad didn't seem to care either and I don't think Haywire even noticed I was carrying... So much for drawn guns and bloody endings.Ragnar Benson:
