My yellow one(cui blank) was stripped by Obie(Tiderider) and custom wrapped....a favorite rod now,(for slinging them small ly,whether for spanish or kings) if I was going to do one, it would get stripped for sure. there is a pretty natural fiberglass fiber rod hiding under neath that yellow....unless you just like yellow....
darn sure glad no one bought it and I did, after looking at it for a few weeks ....got a lot of compliments on it, last fall....but all I directed to Obie, along with my King rod, compliments were directed to Mr. John g(J&M) on the redo and beauty of that one....bigger live bait king rod
for a Yankee, I am acquiring a nice to me selection of rods to use when there(on the cheap too)my middle name
I am going to play with building a hand wrapper and add a motor when found....I think a grill rotisserie motor will work for the drying table for the finish (at least my plan so far) I have a couple that need a few things done, just not a big hurry for it ....like anything you tube is your friend on all this to get ideas, and believe I saw a card board box one that Pest describedBill..............
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
