    From Wed pm NWS MOB Forecast Discussion...

    LONG TERM /Sunday Through Wednesday/...An uncertain period follows
    for the long term period, with the forecast hinging on potentialtropical development (Invest 99L) which may or may not affect thenorthern Gulf coast region. All interests in the area should continueto closely monitor this situation and not focus on specific modelsolutions as these will continue to vary greatly until/if a systemforms. Please see the National Hurricane Center website athttp://www.nhc.noaa.gov and our website at NWS for the latest official information regarding this system.

    This is one of those storms that keeps you on your toes.
    Might look disorganized right but could blow up into a tropical storm within 12 hours.
    Or fizzle to nothing.

    As stated above, invest 99-L’s chances of developing over the next several days have decreased and it remains very disorganized this evening due to a persistent band of moderate to high wind shear that continues to impact it.

    We're not 'out of the woods' yet, but the probabilities are looking better today...
    From NWS MOB Forecast Discussion:
    MARINE...High pressure over the marine area will weaken early next
    week, as a tropical wave moves into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico.There is some potential for the wave to develop into an area of lowpressure through Wednesday, and mariners should closely monitor theprogress of this system. Otherwise, a light to moderate east tosoutheast flow will continue. Wind speeds will increase by the middleof next week, depending on the development of the wave. Winds and seas will be higher near any showers or thunderstorms.

    guys i just stumbled upon a site with so much info its mind boggling. . check it out . I have been looking for this info as the nhc.noaa webpage only shows minimal info
