You should be headed down to GS now, or I'm I out to lunch and you are home and spend the Winter in GS? If anyone is planning to go up there hunting, bring a good coon light, because they only have about 4 hours of daylight from now until about April 1st.
flyguy, I only get down to the Gulf about one - two weeks a year. The fishing has been pretty good this year up here. As far as the daylight, we get a bit more than that...but not much! LOL!

It is supposed to get in the low 30's here Thursday and Friday nights!
The local weather guys and gals are acting like it is the end of the world; down right embarrassing!

BDL, You have my sympathy with the snow. In '91 we got 21" on Halloween Night and it stayed all year, they had to bring a Cat in to clear our road every time it snowed or blew because it would drift full. Many $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ spent on snow removal that year.
I think you could put your grill away now. I also think one of us should invite Haywire up so he can catch a Walleye, he will change his attitude about them, maybe? Do the salmon, coho, brown trout or steelhead come into the streams in the Fall or the Spring somewhere around your place? I know they come into the Brule, how far are you away from there? I have successfully fished the Marinette area until our reels would freeze up in the Fall. I have never fished the Brule. Good Luck this Winter with the snow. Do you think Haywire could catch a salmon or a big brown??????
