A few light flurries in Clarke County---teeny amount on top of the car as we cook steaks on the Weber last night. (About 120 miles north of the pier parking lot.)
I'm sitting here in the cabin with a cup of coffee while I look out the window at the stiff wind blowing in the pines and having second thoughts about spending time in my tree stand.

I
Bill- I'm sure it's amusing listening to us in the south whine about a few inches of snow
We have about 10" here this am, that pretty much shuts down everything here. Not supposed to melt until Monday, there will be folks with serious cabin fever by then....
Makes me think about how much I want to move to Foley or in the area. Better times ahead, get your rods refinished Bill, big cobia with your name on it this year.

Through all of this, wherever you are, stay safe! Be careful on the roads, where hazardous conditions aren't always apparent. Slips/falls can put you down, so take care and watch your footing if you go outdoors. Cold winds can compromise your immune system, so if you go out, bundle in layers and don't stay out in the elements for too long if it's really nasty where you are.

At 10:30 am, on Mobile Bay, winds are still steady 16-18 knts gusting to 28 knts and tides is now at -1.25' , well below the predicted low and still dropping.
High winds and no water, looks like no duck hunting for us, today might be a day for grocery shopping & house keeping.
But I will be out there dark & early tomorrow, our forecasted low is 24 degrees, downright frigid for Mobile!Carl

Yes, 24 is chilly for LA. Sheepshead time is not that far away.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
