That video should be accompanied by a warning saying that it's harder than it looks! Didn't have any clear straws so I tried a white one. Not nearly as good as the one in the video but not too bad for me.

Dave, that is a hell of a good job of scherenschnitte ! I know it is not paper ,but I think it qualifies . Thanks for sharing .

Picked me up some of the little shrimps at pierlures.com, they also have some sweet Cobia, pomp, and spanish lures...

Actually, only about thirty minutes. After you did it a few times I could see where you would get much faster. I kept having to start and stop the video on my Kindle Fire. I also didn't bother with the colored yarn, eyes or hook. I've tied some homemade shrimp flies just for fun and used heavy mono and burned the ends to replicate the eyes.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
