Stik---I have to agree with you. My all time favorite handgun is an old .357 Colt Python with the 4" barrel, but unless it's on a utility belt, it's too heavy to carry. I'd have to KNOW trouble was waiting for me to carry it, but it sure does shoot good.

I have a Taurus polymer frame 5 shot .357 magnum 2" barrel that drops in my pocket with ease and doesn't make your pants fall down. The bigger frame S&W is a beast but not very comfortable to carry.

My old man loves his Taurus Judge. It shoots 45 Colt ammo, he doesn't bother with the 410 shotshell unless he's walking in the fields and its a snakey area. I'll stick with my ole trusty 9mm.

my s&w is a model 27. i'll carry it some during deer season in case one gets close enough. my every day carry is a springfield micro compact .45 or a kimber ultra carry .40s&w
