That's part of the problem about "those in the loop" . They have no skin in the game and could care less about fishermen using their "educational pier". The fishermen just clutter it up with garbage and are always bitching about the sea life which is what "those in the loop" are selling to attract more people to the pier. Why else would they build a double decker except to cater to the tourist. Hell, they sure as devil won't extend the pier 25 yards further out (I know wishful thinking), allow shark fishing during daylight hours or even reasonable evening hours without massive amounts of attention from the Fish Police, or even dredge around the front of the pier instead of making a deep water trough a mile or two out for the fish to school up.

I'm just wondering if all this paper work that everyone says is holding up the start of repairs had been done last year and work was started the end of Hurricane Season the pier would probably be finished by now.

Got a call in to Montgomery trying to find some info on the delay to start Pier repairs. Wanting to now if any of the 80 million that is to be allocated to State Parks in the Election coming up could be designated to start repairs on the pier. Also if not what is the future plans for the Repairs. Will supposedly get a call back next week and will post anything I find out.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
