He man that's great to hear buddy. I know we have never met and I wouldn't know ya if I seem ya but I'd have to say I'm glad to hear that it wasn't cancerous and your gonna be ok. I lost my father at 54 of a heart attach cause he was a stubborn old fart that wouldnt go to the doctor. Everyone needs to get checked no matter how much it might suck.

I'm 44 and that time is quickly coming when I need to be looking at "the procedure"! Thanks for the info and the feedback divedeep.

The reason I'm posting this is he said that if left alone, it would most likely turned cancerous in the next year or two.

IF YOU ARE 50 AND HAVEN'T HAD YOUR COLONOSCOPY, GO GET THE DAMN THING DONE!!!!!!.

It wasn't that big of a deal. The fentanyl (synthetic narcotic) makes you not care and the versed makes you forget you didn't care. The absolute worst part of it is 24 hours of clear liquids and the massive cleaning out of your colon the afternoon before. I don't remember a thing after they gave me the drugs. Again, go do it. For yourself and your family.

While we're on the subject of tests, don't neglect the highly unpopular prostate exam. They caught my prostate cancer when I was 55, and it was the aggressive kind. So far, so good.

GOOD advice from DD !!!! If you are in the 50 range or have family history ,go have the procedure . I waited until I was seeping blood and the cancer had progressed to stage 4 . My own reluctance and it want happen to me didn't work . Through radical surgery ,radiation and chemo I have been cancer free since 06,but the effect of the treatments still plague me .
And DD , truely. I am happy for you . That's great news to hear .

Had diverticulitis....ruptured 3 times...3 cononoscophies....finally colon resection. Moral of the
    story...don't wait!

Guy goes into the proctologist or exam
looks on the counter...vasaline a rubber glove and bottle of beer
when Dr. comes in asks "Can understand the vasaline and rubber glove but what's up with the beer"?
DR. "That stupid nurse of mine I told her to get me a BUTT LIGHT"!

Told that during all three procedures numerous times! NO...You don't remember!!!

Have had two issues in the past that have convinced me that when something ain't right, go get it checked out. Embarrassment only lasts a few minutes; the alternative lasts considerably longer.

A guy I played ball with in high school is a psychiatrist - never slept at night, just during school. Finished with a 3.8 gpa. Used to sit up at night and listen to the "White Album" over and over. Looked up one day and out of left field said one of the most profound things I've ever heard. "The truth hurts, but the lies will kill you." Don't lie to yourself.
